The SZENA terrace floors and facades are made of PEFC certified mountain larch timber sawn in rift and quarter rift.

Special because

The beautiful and typical interplay of red and orange colours which is enhanced by the alternating boards of the local larch creates a particularly lively impression similar to a shingle façade. The finger joints are glued together using a melamine adhesive which, unlike PU glue, does not change colour during the greying of the timber.

The advanced fixation system automatically provides protection to the wood (as it is detached from the underlying structure and from the next board). There are no fibres missing in the knots as all knots have been cut out.

Szena Terrace floors

Wood maintains a pleasant temperature in the summer and is wonderfully warm in the spring and autumn. SZENA rift and quarter sawn timber with vertical growth rings gives your home a touch of something special which only comes from the unique nature of wood.

The rift sawn and quarter sawn boards provide much greater stability and prevent any of the splitting and chipping which often occurs in products with horizontal growth rings.

SZENA products show a reduced rate of splintering and chipping thanks to being rift and quarter sawn. The otherwise frequent warping is practically ruled out thanks to vertical annular rings. There is less twisting and distortion which is common in products with horizontal annular rings.

Finger joint length
The finger jointing technique ensures knot and defect-free material.

Total length
The total length of 6 m dramatically minimises the amount of waste.

Rift / quarter sawn

Less splintering and chipping, greater stability and practically no twisting.

The finger jointing technique has been certified by IFT Rosenheim.

The SZENA terrace floorboards are assembled using SenoFix SX assembly tools. Follow the video links for an explanation of the quick and easy assembly steps.

Szena Facades

Suitable for high quality, innovative facade construction as well as designer sunscreens and sight protection fences, e.g. in the rhombus format. SZENA facades are characterised by their durability and are excellent for combining with other construction materials (e.g. glass, aluminium, plaster facades).

Through rift and quarter sawn processing, it provides significantly improved stability with almost no splintering or chipping, as frequently occurs in products with horizontal growth rings.

Proven sustainability.

Sustainability is a hot topic at the moment. At Graggaber we guarantee the following: The PEFC certificate on our products guarantees that the timber we use comes from sustainably managed forests, where for every tree that is cut down another one is planted.

But that’s not all: Instead of using rare tropical wood, for many years now (4 generations, in fact) we have focused on local larch. To preserve resources, our waste products (wood waste) are used to operate our dry kilns, produce panels and paper and as garden mulch. We promote the philosophy of short transport distances and cascading use.

By choosing Graggaber mountain larch you are choosing the environment and nature.

The unique charm and especially high quality of our mountain larch is used all over the world. Whether it's on the Bermuda islands or up in the high mountains – the exceptional properties of our larch façades and terraces are suitable for any terrain.
